TaxSpeaker was founded twenty-five years ago by Bob Jennings, a practicing CPA in Indiana with an extensive background in leading seminars and public speaking. Jennings believed that all speakers must still have a regular tax practice, including himself, and all courses should be taught from the point of view of the local firm practitioner.
This principle has carried out to this day, and the company continues to provide educational materials and resources to professionals in all 50 states, as well as several foreign countries.

With the future in mind, Jennings has set forth a new goal to focus on in the coming year: “the 2020-the year of perfect vision.” According to Jennings, this company-wide mission begins with setting out what the year 2020 will look like in a “perfect world.” It recognizes that the perfect vision won’t be reached, but it helps by identifying the changes necessary to get there.
“Our new ‘2020 Vision’ goal required us to find a website design and marketing company that leap-frogged everything else in our industry,” said Bob Jennings. “Hatfield's team jumped on the design and implementation of our new complete website and marketing program and exceeded every one of our ‘2020 vision’ goals.”
A DESIGN AND FUNCTIONALITY OVERHAUL
When TaxSpeaker approached Hatfield Media with the desire to completely overhaul their website’s design, our team focused on improving three key factors: usability, flexibility, and speed. Our goal was to make the site user-friendly for customers and simplify the product search process. For CPAs looking to fulfill their CPE requirements, it’s now easier than ever to find a specific topic or course.
Purchasing credits for CPE certifications are more flexible with the new “You-Pick” hour packages, where a customer can either pay per event or product or purchase a bundle of credit hours and spend however many is needed for certifications. The new site design is also more full-featured and faster than ever before. A customer can take exams, search for products, transfer products, and more, all in a matter of mouse clicks.
With TaxSpeaker’s rebranding, the Hatfield Media design team introduced a completely new color scheme that communicates the company’s fun approach and diverse capabilities. Whereas the old logo’s monochromatic, warm colors were outdated, harsh, and difficult to translate across mediums, the new TaxSpeaker logo exudes the professionalism their reputation precedes.
The TaxSpeaker logo is a long-lasting, dependable brand, just like the company itself. The icon represents the way TaxSpeaker communicates and delivers its up-to-date product to its customers, through materials, videos, and seminars. The three colors represent the core of who TaxSpeaker is; the best in education, presentation, and resources.
