To mirror the welcoming atmosphere of the KY Artisan Center, Hatfield Media aimed to deliver a tasteful and easy-to-use website, optimized for speed and SEO. A video of the center welcomes visitors on the homepage and the content invites them to visit, dine, or apply as an artist.
Dedication to Displaying Kentucky Art and Products
The craftsmanship that KY Artisan Center displays is visible right from the moment you lay eyes on the building. The limestone in the building is Kentucky limestone, and the stonemasons who laid it were all Kentucky stonemasons. This care for detail and aesthetic was an important piece of inspiration for the website design and layout.
It was vital to display the variety of artists and work that is exhibited throughout the space using image galleries and page layouts that showcased the work. The site map structure was reorganized to allow for better flow and discovery for website visitors.
Events are an important part of the Artisan Center’s operations, so Hatfield Media designed a bespoke event calendar for the Artisan Center team to utilize and create event entries. Enjoy wood carving demonstrations, musical performances and samplings of delicious local fare!
