Most Prestigious Since 1902

The World’s Championship Horse Show is held annually in conjunction with the Kentucky State Fair and crowns world champion Saddlebreds, Hackney Ponies and Road Horses in different divisions. The show attracts spectators and competitors from across the world and includes over 2,000 horses competing for more than $1 million in awards determined by a panel of equestrian professionals.

Horses compete in divisions including Three-Gaited, Five-Gaited, Fine Harness, Saddlebred Pleasure, Saddle Seat Equitation, Hackney/Harness Ponies, Roadster, In-Hand, and American Saddlebred. Each division includes several classes for amateurs, ladies, amateur ladies, and junior exhibitors, as well as younger horses and ponies. Horses or riders who win earn the title of world’s champion (abbreviated WC). A second-place finish is given the title of reserve world’s champion (RWC). Horses may also earn the world’s grand championship (WGC) or world’s championship of champions (WCC) title.

World's Championship Horse Show needed an updated clean design that could reflect the legacy and integrity of the biggest horse show competition in the nation. The Hatfield Media team created new and unique spaces to display event information. Updated imagery accommodates concise information to ensure a smooth event. The site was designed to be an easy-to-navigate and straight-to-the-point website.

"I wanted this site to feel professional and sophisticated because the sport is so highly respected for those qualities," said Morgan Fletcher, Graphic Designer at Hatfield Media. "We chose vivid imagery for the site to showcase a lot of proud moments in horse show history."

Hatfield Media was thrilled to be able to produce a website for such an esteemed, iconic event. As always, it was a pleasure to work with the Kentucky Venues team, and we’re grateful for the strong relationship we’ve developed over the years!

“The World’s Championship Horse Show has been around for more than 100 years and has stood the test of time as the most prestigious horse show in the world,” said Ian Cox, Assistant Director of Communications at Kentucky Venues. “This year, we wanted to renew our focus to provide visitors a rich web experience. That is why we partnered with Hatfield Media to create a custom website that is easy to use. The team at Hatfield Media addressed all issues with a can-do attitude and provided solutions to the problems we faced.
