Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy’s mission is to nurture the spiritual and material needs of race track workers in Kentucky and southern Ohio. Based in Louisville, this non-profit organization is transforming the lives of those working in the horse industry through interdenominational relations and Christian charity. Hatfield Media had the privilege of redesigning the organization’s website, making their mission more accessible and communicating their message with clarity and virtuosity!

Where Lives Are Transformed
Chaplains have been serving at Kentucky race tracks since 1972 with the founding the Race Track Chaplaincy of America. The Kentucky division of the chaplaincy was established in 1989, and ever since, the ministry has grown to serve at Churchill Downs, Ellis Park, Turfway Park, Kentucky Downs, and Belterra Park (Southern Ohio) race tracks. The ministry also serves at various thoroughbred training centers throughout Kentucky.
The Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy’s vision is to bring about the salvation of all people in the horse racing industry through the gospel of Jesus Christ. The chaplains' faith-based work focuses on the “behind-the-scenes” of race tracks, which is where the needs are the greatest. The ministry meets the needs of the race track communities by offering weekly worship services, bible studies, fellowship opportunities, counseling, a food pantry, donation center, and transportation assistance.
Hatfield Media was contracted by the Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy to create a modern, digital space for their branding and mission. Our design team developed a layout that complemented the existing logo of the organization. We added a rich green to the color palette to coordinate with the famous Churchill Downs branding.
The goal was to create a simple, easily accessible website for users of all walks of life. Our team updated the main navigation to better showcase call-to-action buttons, i.e. “donate” and “get involved.” The new design’s full-width layout allows for easy-to-digest content and space to update events and information.
