Evercure Farms was founded by hemp farmers and friends Lyle Hysinger, Lee Hysinger, Mike Bunch and Todd Harrett. Located in the bluegrass region, Evercure Farms creates its products using an organic, cold ethanol extraction process. The result is a superior extract with a smell and taste that matches the fruitiness of the plant in the field. 

Evercure Farm’s signature product, “Evercure CBD Oil,” is a certified-organic, hemp-derived oil bottled with a full spectrum of healthy ingredients. The health benefits of Evercure CBD Oil include relief from pain & inflammation, anxiety, antipsychotic effects and much more. Prior to the website's launch, Evercure CBD Oil could only be purchased in natural health stores like Rainbow Blossom. Evercure Farms contracted Hatfield Media to transform their original website from a simple, informational source to a fully-functional online shop. 

“Our new website has been redesigned to boost SEO capabilities, generate more traffic, and make our educational resources more accessible,” says Todd Harrett, Managing Partner at Evercure Farms. 

The website’s eCommerce capabilities allow for user-friendly shopping and a simplified process for adding new products. Drone footage and video clips were incorporated into the site’s design to make the web-experience more interactive. The website’s FAQ page addresses common misconceptions surrounding CBD oil products and provides educational resources for the curious and skeptical. Evercure CBD Oil can still be found in local health & wellness retailers, which are listed under the website’s resources tab.

ALC (A Loving Choice) Shelbyville is a community resource that exists to support women and families facing or having faced an unplanned or crisis pregnancy. In the fall of last year, Hatfield Media was contracted to produce an overview video that captures the heart of ALC’s mission.

ALC Pregnancy Resource Center, located in Shelbyville, Kentucky,  encourages and equips women to make educated decisions about their pregnancy. The non-profit organization’s goal is for each woman to make her own decisions after she has received education applicable to her situation. The center is open to anyone and offers services like pregnancy testing, confidential counseling, post-abortion support, parenting classes and much more free of charge. ALC hopes to meet not only the physical and practical needs of unplanned pregnancy, but also give spiritual, moral and emotional guidance through the turmoil of the situation.


“Many women come in here terrified of the situation that they’re in,” said Diana Cahill, Executive Director, ALC Pregnancy Resource Center. “They’re truly in crisis and they just need someone to love, to care for them, and to show them that there’s hope in what feels like a hopeless situation.

Liquor Barn and Party Mart recently launched an app and added online ordering to the liquorbarn.com website.  Customers in the Louisville and Lexington markets can shop the stores' selection of fine alcohol and have their order delivered to their home, office or event space.  Hatfield Media was contracted by Liquor Barn to produce a video commercial announcing the launch of the new app.

Where Kentuckians Celebrate Life

The Hatfield Media creative team brainstormed and storyboarded multiple ideas before running with the one Isaac Harrison, video-producer at Hatfield Media, calls the “most complex and engaging.” Using an animation mockup, the team built a shot list showcasing common scenarios in which people would find the Liquor Barn app handy, like an intimate dinner scene, a garden party and a young professionals’ gathering. 

“We made sure every shot had movement to keep the momentum up,” said Isaac Harrison, video producer at Hatfield Media. “Every shoot needed to seem fun except for when we found out there was no more liquor to be had, and even then, we kept the party going."

Over the last ten years, the agency has awarded more than $2 million in financial and educational support to deserving students pursuing careers that promote agriculture. In addition to financial support, the program provides week-long learning and travel experiences that focus on leadership development and financial education.

Farm Credit Mid-America approached Hatfield Media with the desire to create a video that could communicate their dedication to student scholarship and emphasize the agency’s partnership with Ohio State University. As the 30-second video was intended to play during OSU’s spring football season, the video served to educate football game attendees of Farm Credit Mid-America’s commitment to serving rural communities in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Tennessee, and their investment in student education that helps secure the future of rural communities and agriculture. 

The Hatfield Media team traveled to Columbus, Ohio to film actual scholarship recipients and current agriculture students in the collegiate setting. Using scenic footage pre-recorded by Farm Credit Mid-America, our video team interlaced shots of farmland and of students in the classroom to underscore how the agency invests in the future of agriculture by “investing in the students who will become tomorrow’s leaders in the industry.” Our team also created a simple animation from the agency’s logo, which was used in the video’s title shot.

Hatfield Media was delighted to sponsor the 2018 Bourbon Mixer and to produce a video recapping the evening’s festivities!

A Mid-Century Bash

The 5th Annual Bourbon Mixer was held at the Henry Clay, the Derby City’s premier venue, in August of 2018. The bourbon lover and the bourbon novice were invited to delight in Kentucky’s drink of choice dressed in the event’s theme: “Mid-Century Mod.” 

The evening included tastings of unique bourbons, bourbon cocktails, and bourbon-infused treats from 21 local distilleries, as well as samplings of southern upscale cuisine. Guests mingled with bourbon enthusiasts, master distillers, and regional celebrities.

Capturing The Moment

Since partnering in 2014, the Bourbon Brotherhood and Whiskey Chicks have raised over $120,000 in donations to local charities. Proceeds from the night’s silent auction, which featured rare bottles of whiskey and other Commonwealth treasures, were given to support the Coalition for the Homeless and their work to eliminate homelessness in Louisville.

Hatfield Media’s video team focused on capturing the upbeat energy of the evening. Our production team cut the footage to the beat of the music, allowing 1950’s jazz to carry the night’s story. Every shot was cut to recreate the night’s excitement and buzz, with lots of movement and interesting angles.

Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy - Web Design

Where Lives Are Transformed

Chaplains have been serving at Kentucky race tracks since 1972 with the founding the Race Track Chaplaincy of America. The Kentucky division of the chaplaincy was established in 1989, and ever since, the ministry has grown to serve at Churchill Downs, Ellis Park, Turfway Park, Kentucky Downs, and Belterra Park (Southern Ohio) race tracks. The ministry also serves at various thoroughbred training centers throughout Kentucky. 

The Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy’s vision is to bring about the salvation of all people in the horse racing industry through the gospel of Jesus Christ. The chaplains' faith-based work focuses on the “behind-the-scenes” of race tracks, which is where the needs are the greatest. The ministry meets the needs of the race track communities by offering weekly worship services, bible studies, fellowship opportunities, counseling, a food pantry, donation center, and transportation assistance.

A Complete Design Overhaul

Hatfield Media was contracted by the Kentucky Race Track Chaplaincy to create a modern, digital space for their branding and mission. Our design team developed a layout that complemented the existing logo of the organization. We added a rich green to the color palette to coordinate with the famous Churchill Downs branding. 

The goal was to create a simple, easily accessible website for users of all walks of life. Our team updated the main navigation to better showcase call-to-action buttons, i.e. “donate” and “get involved.” The new design’s full-width layout allows for easy-to-digest content and space to update events and information.

Hatfield Media was contracted by Sullivan University to produce a series of overview videos that focus on each of the many programs, departments, and services the institution offers. With every video, our creative team took an organic approach to accurately portray what it’s like to be a student at Sullivan University.

“It’s not enough to film a student at work,” said Isaac Harrison, video producer at Hatfield Media. “You need to be able to connect to the individual. There’s a reason students choose Sullivan University, and we wanted to capture their stories.”

For this campaign, our video team developed a shooting style that speaks to Sullivan University’s new voice and branding. Instead of focusing on just the specs of a particular program, our team honed in on the reasons why people study at Sullivan University.

“We captured what motivates these students and presented that to the audience,” said Harrison. “While previous video campaigns allowed the viewer to look in on the action, our goal was to put you in the middle of the action.”

Hatfield Media took great care in accurately representing Sullivan University’s student body and programs. Currently-enrolled students were used as models and actors whenever possible. A professor from each department worked with our team to ensure the accuracy of the procedures, tools, and methods demonstrated on video.

Clean, Crisp Commerical Photography

Lincoln Lewis, co-founder of G.D. Herring, contracted Hatfield Media to produce a series of high-definition product photography for the company’s website and online shop collection. The goal was to create clean, crisp shots with zero reflections in the glass and present an overall luxurious aesthetic.

Hatfield Media’s photography team used a medium format camera, which provides a better dynamic range in colors and captures more detail. Using this type of equipment allowed our team more opportunities and creative flexibility in the post-processing of the images. Our team also utilized an infinity table to create a consistent background and create a floating illusion. The consistency of the shots allows G.D. Herrings to use this collection as a template for future photography

Gilda’s Club – Video Production

“Having cancer gave me membership in an elite club I would rather not belong to,” said Gilda Radner, a critically acclaimed American comedian who battled ovarian cancer and advocated for cancer awareness during her lifetime. Following her death, a survivor’s community was founded in her honor called “Gilda’s Club.” This non-profit organization is dedicated to those whose lives have been touched by cancer, with chapters located all over the United States. 

Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana, located on Baxter Avenue in Louisville, Kentucky, offers a comfortable, welcoming space where cancer survivors and their families can find support, community and a variety of programs at no cost to its members. Hatfield Media recently partnered with Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana to produce “Michelle’s Story,” a video testimony of one of the community’s beloved members.

Surviving Loneliness

When Michelle Mullennex was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, she felt a sense of relief mixed within her grief.

“The not knowing was worse than knowing,” she says. 

Although the prognosis of her disease saw cancer spreading to her liver, bones, lymph nodes and beyond, Mullennex says the loneliness she felt was more debilitating than any physical symptom. As an independent person, it had been her habit to spend time alone. However, as her condition worsened, fear gripped her. She realized she didn’t personally know any cancer survivors.

“I needed to meet some real people who actually experienced what I was experiencing,” Mullennex says. This desire for community brought her to Gilda’s Club, where she was shocked to find people not merely surviving, but thriving. 

“You can experience deep loneliness,” Mullennex says of her journey battling cancer. “But I know I’m not the only one feeling alone.”

Mullenex says it’s because of Gilda’s Club that she sought proper treatment and care for herself. She considers the club a second home, one that is warm, friendly and welcoming to all.



Laughing Through The Struggle

Because of the personal nature of the testimony, the Hatfield Media video production team created a quiet, respectful space for Mullenex so she would feel comfortable sharing her story. Our team recalls being struck by Mullenex's positivity and warm demeanor.

“When I first met Michelle, I expected to meet someone dour and sad,” says Isaac Harrison, Video Producer at Hatfield Media. “I was pleasantly surprised by her cheerful spirit. She had a lightness about her that I couldn’t have anticipated.”  

Gilda’s Club Kentuckiana is a place where people like Michelle can find humor and light in the midst of dark struggles.

“Laughter gives hope,” says Mullenex. “You want to find laughter in your own experience.”

The “Michelle’s Story” testimony video was shown during the club’s 10th annual “Night of A Thousand Laughs” fundraising event in May 2019.
